I first became personally aware of the #Resistance movement in February 2017, following the recent presidential election of 2016.
I had accompanied my sister, Sandy, to New York City, during that unseasonably mild winter when she was one of the five finalists in the America’s Most Amazing Nurse Contest. The organizers of the nationwide search, The Doctor’s Talk Show on CBS, had put her up in the infamous millennial Ace Hotel in midtown Manhattan. She was there for her final interview and photo shoot for Prevention Magazine which was publicizing the contest.
I, on the other hand, was there to support her and to traverse the city with camera in hand for the joy of exploring and documenting city life, which I did with great relish.
After arriving via taxi to the hotel, we wheeled our suitcases across the threshold and shut the door behind us, laughing with traveler’s glee at the unfamiliar black walls and the ultra modern decor.
It was in that hotel room one afternoon that I noticed a letter, meticulously typed on solid white paper lying on the desk. Sitting at the desk chair, I read it by the weak, gray winter light streaming through the hotel window.
The call to resistance against the sitting President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, shocked me at first. What resistance? What about the peaceful transfer of power? I wondered naively. Puzzled, I read it aloud to Sandy. What did resistance look like? we mused. At the end of our stay, I carefully folded that letter and tucked it away in my suitcase. Later, I would read it aloud around the dinner table to my family. We googled the writer. Clearly, the Ace Hotel had been in support of this viewpoint and its call to action. Over the next four years, I would see firsthand what resistance would look like as I witnessed it unfold before my very eyes.
I did not vote for Trump in 2016. Looking at two undesirable candidates for the highest office of the land, I did the only thing I felt I could responsibly do at that time: I voted my conscience for a third party candidate, despite the warning of friends that I was “throwing my vote away.” But let me clarify one specific fact: I was never a part of the #NeverTrump crowd; I was just concerned that his pugnacious temperament might land us in an international war.
It did not take long for me to begin to understand what the resistance would look like. After leaving the White House, Barak Obama, did not simply leave the White House and return to civilian life like presidents before him. He moved across town and set up a shadow government, a shadow presidency, an organized resistance movement. And then in part, a vocal and privileged minority led by government bureaucrats, aided by Democrats and Republicans alike, NeverTrumpers, and the media convinced millions of Americans to turn on their neighbors, families, and fellow citizens just because they had voted for Trump. This rancorous “Resistance” which first took the form of the Russian collusion narrative was used to divide the country and provoke instability intended to impede the president’s agenda with the ultimate goal of forcing Trump from the White House.
The big problem was that none of it was true. Eventually, the evidence emerged that an espionage operation within the US government had targeted Trump, a coup de’tat to eviscerate and destroy a legitimate president and to disenfranchise the half of Americans that had voted him into office. To date, not a single person has been held accountable for these treasonous actions.
In the four years since, and especially today the radical playbook for destroying political enemies and silencing dissenting viewpoints is more evident than ever. We have all witnessed how proficient the main stream media has become at destroying its opponents. We’ve seen how activists worked to drain their targets of money and influence, threatened their jobs, marginalized and censured them off social media platforms, and used their media partners to portray their opponents as extremists, racists, Russian puppets, and the latest, domestic terrorists.
In the early Spring of 2017, the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) and the investigation Devin Nunes initiated had found evidence that the FBI had abused the resources of the federal government to spy on Trump and his associates. Clinton operatives and prestige press organizations worked to smear Trump as a Russian asset, as Obama appointees across the administration spied on him and his team as Trump was candidate (as far back as 2015), president-elect, and then president.
What America has had a front row seat to for the past four years has been an unveiling of the slow take-over by the progressive left in tandem with infiltrating Chinese communism. It’s clear today that the press is a state-owned leftist enterprise, the bullhorn of the progressive worldview. They control everything – universities, nonprofits, bureaucracies, the Beltway corridor, all the mainstream media, and social media is controlled by billionaire tech oligarchs.
In October 2017, Objective Medusa, as the defense was aptly named, showed that the Clinton campaign had paid for the fake Christopher Steele dossier. In February 2018, the Nunes team documented how the FBI had used the dossier to get an unlawful FISA warrant to spy on Trump. In March 2019, the Mueller Report came up empty on Russian collusion. The December 2019 DOJ inspector general’s report gave evidence of a massive FBI cover-up to hide the crimes and abuses committed during its investigation of Trump. In May 2020, transcripts of General Michael Flynn’s phone calls with Russian ambassador Sergei Kislyak were released, showing that the incoming national security advisor never lied to the FBI, though he was blackmailed into pleading guilty to the charge.
It’s been a long hard road for most of us, watching a circus that none of us wanted to see. Even now, even with all the evidence available, the media continues to advance the destructive conspiracy theory that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia, and a lot of people believe the lie. In the meanwhile, millions of people like myself have been forced to face the reality that things are not as we had imagined them to be. That all is not well in America. That our Constitutional Republic hangs on the precipice. That the Deep State is alive and kicking and for the most part, we have been ignorant of its operation until now.
As the veil was drawn back from my eyes, as I’ve witnessed the events leading up to the stolen 2020 election, and beyond to the Capitol ri0t on January 6, 2020, I have begun to understand that it’s never really been about Donald J. Trump, though they certainly do hate him, mostly because he stands in the way of their agenda. But, there is so much more at stake. Dissent is being criminalized on a massive, unprecedented scale. Freedom of thought and speech of a whole segment of society is being swept away with Big Government, Big Pharma, Big Business and Big Tech aligning and colluding in the blaming and shaming campaign and censorship.
They are going after everything that America has stood for, overturning the Constitution of the United States, desecrating our history and national heritage, tearing down the old ways of life, destabilizing America in order to pave the way for the globalist utopia, the New World Order.
So though the coup has taken Trump as its immediate target, make no mistake about it, it’s weaponized itself against the people of the United States to destroy our traditional way of life. To destroy faith, family, and freedom all in one fell swoop. The ultimate target is subjugation, domination of all the peoples of the world. One World Government. In their bloodthirst for power and control, they intend to enslave all of humanity to serve their ends.
In the past four years, we have witnessed an exhausting extended coup, five attempts to overthrow the presidency: RussiaGate, Impeachment (twice), Pandemic fraud, widespread public rioting and looting (Antifa and Black Lives Matter) empowered by both Democrat and Republican leadership, and the most recent open, shameless ballot rigging and domestic election fraud in at least six states with foreign interference and the subsequent media cover-up.
There is no doubt in my mind that the Deep State stole the 2020 election through election fraud including both foreign and domestic enemies. Now, we face an illegitimate presidency and administration, an empowered Deep State operation, a bunch of goons intent on the overthrow of America, and a population terrified by a covid-19 “pandemic” into giving up their freedom in exchange for a false sense of safety.
General Michael Flynn may have stated it the best when he said,
“As a Soldier, I fought on many foreign battlefields around the world in support of US policy objectives but never in my wildest dreams did I ever believe I would be fighting for my life and liberties on the domestic battlefield for justice and truth. Through this struggle, I now better appreciate that reaping the blessings of freedom, we must endure the fatigues of sacrifice. A coup d’erat is a real thing. It is not something that should ever happen in the United States of America — not in our country — but it did. The events of these past four years have tested the will-power of our nation. It is not a government we fight for, instead it is an idea built on a foundation of God-given freedoms and individual liberties we must be prepared to defend-that is the essence of our constitutional republic. We must not fear what lies ahead. To all Americans, what we choose to do in this life should never be stopped by fear. Instead, we need to embrace the uncertainty and accept the risk that comes with sacrifice and then work to overcome the sheer magnitude of life’s challenges, especially during this crucible of our nation’s history. Our nation is worth fighting for–God bless and protect America.”
